Samyak Sechan tool uses the observation of soil moisture and crop specific Maximum Allowed Depletion (MAD) to quantify the optimal irrigation requirement. The observation of soil moisture required for tool could come from ground station or from satellite. The tool also provides guidance on optimal time for the application of fertilizer and pesticides.
